Carmarthenshire Council has announced it is making almost £4million available for local business growth.
Grants and loans are being made available to support new and existing enterprise, with specific guidelines:
* For supply of high quality business premises, £1.5 million is available in the Carmarthenshire Transformational Commericial Property Development Fund
* £1 million in the Carmarthenshire Rural Enterprise Fund will help stimulate rural economy growth.
* For businesses who want to develop in or relocate to Ammanford or Llanelli town centres, £895,000 being offered under Town Centre Loan Scheme
*Grants of up to £10,000 available for business start-ups and those wishing to expand, with emphasis on safeguarding and creating jobs
Cllr Emlyn Dole, Council leader said: “This is a significant investment that we hope will have long-term benefits for Carmarthenshire, not only for the businesses that could be eligible for support but because of the future jobs they will create.
“Strengthening our local economy is a key aim of the executive board’s Moving Forward in Carmarthenshire plan, so I’m delighted to announce this funding which I hope will energise the county and help us build a more prosperous future.”
