Original three piece Liverpudlian band Joe Symes & The Loving Kind stop off in Brecon for one night only as they embark in a non-stop tour all over the UK. They have performed in support slots for some major bands including Bloc Party and Alt-J, and performed at Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Aftershow Party at the 02 Academy.
Troy Redfern combines the rawness of Hound Dog Taylor, the free-form approach of Sonny Sharrock, the firebrand playing of Johnny Winter and the technique of Dave Hole, mixed with the ghost of Elmore James.
"Troy Redfern ushers us into a restless, musical journey that spans big musical vistas. He's a guitarist for whom tone, feel and grooves are his working tools and while his songs range from a whisper to a scream, he performs a balancing act between pure spontaneity and deep grooves."
Blues Matters Magazine 2017
Troy released his second album 'Dirt Blues Ritual' earlier this year and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews and airplay in Europe, the UK and the US with music from the new album was featured on Paul Jones Radio 2 Blues Show in April 2017.
