Earlier this week, we asked every parliamentary candidate for both Carmarthen constituencies the same 3 questions. So far we've had 3 responses:
LABOUR: Delyth Evans
1.What do you love best about your constituency?
What I love most is the strong character of the people and their attachment to place and community. People are proud of where they come from and even when they move away they never forget where they are from or the community that shaped them.
2. What do you consider to be its greatest challenge?
The constituency's greatest challenge is to create a strong and sustainable local economy where businesses can thrive and young people have good choices about local job opportunities and careers. This requires a clear commitment from the government to support the regional economy and invest in infrastructure, skills and business support.
3.What in your personal history equips you to fight this?
A pride in where I'm from, a strong set of values, an ability to listen, and a range of relevant skills acquired from working in journalism, politics, small businesses and the charity sector.
CONSERVATIVE: Simon Hart
1.What do you love best about your constituency?
Our people. I think we are the best in the world!
2. What do you consider to be its greatest challenge?
As is the case everywhere it is making sure there are decent lasting jobs for the next generation
3.What in your personal history equips you to fight this?
This is the area I know and love. I have a good track record, I think, in sticking up for the underdog and never taking no for an answer. These are important attributes if you want to get heard and get things done?
LIB DEM: Selwyn Runnett
1. What do you love best about your constituency?
Although I'm not from the Constituency originally, I have lived here now for 16 years and it's a fantastic place to call home. I love the people and the friendly local communities within the area. I also love the contrasts between the beautiful coast and its beaches, the towns, and the countryside. I work in a family lettings business which means that I get to travel around the area almost everyday and talk to a wide variety of people. I feel very privileged to live and work in a such a lovely place.
2. What do you consider to be its greatest challenge?
The greatest challenge is to make sure that we have a successful local economy with well paid jobs and opportunities for all age groups. I also want to see high quality health services, good schools and well-run public services.
3. What in your personal history equips you to fight this?
I've always believed that politics is too important to leave to politicians! Politics has a huge impact on the quality of our lives and the way we live. It's important - and everyone who can, should give a little of their time to politics and the political process, including making sure they vote. I'm not a professional politician but I have been involved for a long time in community and political activities. This means I listen to people and try to make sure that I can help whenever possible, whilst making sure that those with the political power listen to what people want and need. If I become the Area's next MP, I will work hard and do my very best for local people, who will be my first priority in everything I do in Parliament.

1.What do you love best about your constituency?
I love it's proud history and industrial heritage, together with it's beautiful landscape. It's a constituency with so much to offer and friendly people.
2.What do you consider its greatest challenge?
Its greatest challenge is connectivity with the rest of Wales. In particular this relates to Transport issues and the need to have infrastructure investment in our rural rail and road networks.
3.What in your personal history equips you to fight this?
I am a local born and bred candidate and know what parts of the constituency need investment. I also have personal experience of working minimum wage and zero hour contracts, that's why I will stand up for working people struggling to get by.
